I've done it once before and for some it may look like I'm being an attention whore (and to you I say STFU beezy and keep it moving...) but in all seriousness, Me and Facebook were never meant to be.
I could care less about the new timeline...
...Or Farmville
...Or pokes
...Or random peoples birthdays that popped up every single day
And that was the point

I would check it once and awhile but for the most part my profile was just a breeding ground waiting for spammers and hackers. I posted a couple of our wedding pics online and then later came to find out the tux shop we used for the wedding took the pictures to promote their business.
I probably wouldn't have minded if she had asked me, but to just blatantly take my personal pictures of my personal day from my personal and private page, just rubbed me the wrong way.
That and my abusive ex who wouldn't stop friend requesting and messaging me. That dude is a piece of work to think that would we ever be friends in real life or online after the shit he put me through. Ugh. Him and Big Man's hooker (ok she wasn't an actual prostitute but she sure dresses and acts like it) ex should def. get in touch with each other since they both have super egos and are super stalkers.
Anyways...the point is, I never really enjoyed Facebook.
It was one of those things that you just joined because everyone else did and to be honest I hope it dies out like MySpace did.
Go ahead and start throwing tomatoes at me now because I know that everyone and their mama sweats FB but for me, it really isn't my thing anymore. Do I really want my future babes seeing slutty 20 year old me dancing on the bar, on the internet?? Nahhh...I don't think so.
I'm not going to say that I won't ever have a Facebook again and be a hypocrite down the road if I change my mind but I highly doubt I will open my personal page again. I don't care that much for old 'friends' from high school to keep it and to keep tabs on them and vice versa.
Possibly a LWLH page but even that might be a stretch, so for I now I will ride or die with my ladies on the Twit.

I can't bring myself to delete my page but I don't check my FB anymore... all the changes. It's LAME. I liked FB because of how simple it was and now it's just one big mess! LOL

everytime i think about deleting mine i somehow get sucked back in. idk how FB does it but i'm glad your out, ill get there soon enough.... :|
These days I definitely prefer twitter over fb. I've had fb since November 2004. It looks SO different now. I'm not a fan of the Timeline. I keep because our families are in other states and this way they can see pictures of the baby. I know the hubs' aunt prints off pictures to show his grandparents.
I stick mainly to twitter and the blog-o-sphere!
Girl, I haaaaate Facebook. Have never been on there and never will!!! I didn't do the MySpace thing either. I'm just not that interested in anyone from high school or from my past really. Those that I care about I still talk to!!
crazy that they took your wedding picture to advertise for their business without your permission ... so crazy!
FB to me is just another thing i signed up for ... i hardly get on the thing but that is proably the reason why i don't hate or love it.
Good for you! I've come close so many times...but it's nice to be able to keep in touch with friends & family and post pics of Kitty for them. Sigh. It annoys me so much, though - I should really just leave!
How rude that they used your pictures! I would be livid. I'm rarely on FB but I like it since we live so far away from everyone that it allows to keep up with what everyone is doing.
FB break ups seem to be going around these days. My page and pics is private only to friends. I used to be into posting status and checking in but not so much anymore. I only post pics if my sister wants me to so she can share 'em. It is fun to check and see what silly stuff others are posting but I'm mostly a FB lurker at this point.
Facebook breaks or break ups seem to be going around. I think it's something you join, get obsessed with, burn out on and then rebalance.
I can't be mad lol I've thought of it esp with a recent friend giving me big reasons something do to with fb and legal but whatev I have millions more reasons to hang in there lol I am glad you are using twitter again tho I really need to get back on there :)
I don't check my FB nearly as often as I used to. Not loving all the new changes BUT I do keep it around because I have a ton of family on it and its so amazing to feel in the know with what they are doing, even when we dont talk!!
I've been wanting to deactivate my FB for a while...but I've gotten too far in my games to quit now! lol!!!
Haha, I'm a total FB whore. I've been addicted for ages and I spend wayy too much time on it. But one of my goals for this year is to not spend so much time on it. If I didn't have so many friends from different parts of the country I probably wouldn't care about having one so much, but this lifestyle has us moving so often and leaving such great people behind that I want to keep in touch with. Plus, where else can I brag about my dogs 24/7? Oh wait, that's what my blog is for! ;)
